Skin

After my hysterectomy, my skin got really dry.  I had to use all kinds of moisturizer and kept getting rashes and what not.  Now, out of nowhere, my skin has gotten really oily.  Like, I could see the oil glistening on my scalp.  My hair smells bad if I don't wash it everyday.  I'm confused.

  1. That is weird. Maybe your skin and hair is finally getting used to the hysterectomy? You basically just described my skin and hair.

  2. I doubt it. I've never had oily skin. I've always been on the dry side, even as a teenager.

  3. I'm just going to have to have my blood done again I think. It could be from swimming I guess. Chlorine dries out your skin and sometimes your glands will excrete excessively to try and compensate for the dryness. I've had this happen once before, and that's when I was taking Danazol, the androgen drug that made me crazy (er). My face got really oily and I started breaking out everywhere.
It might be related to my suddenly sore nipples. I've noticed a lot of weird body stuff just coming out of nowhere recently.
    Who knows.
